How to Attract Your People (Clients) as an Entrepreneur

How to Attract Your People (Clients) as an Entrepreneur

You’ve done it: came up with that brilliant idea, launched your product or service, and are open for business — congratulations! This is one of the biggest hurdles in launching a new business — actually following through and putting it out into the world.

The next part can get tricky, and that is: how do you attract your people (clients)? Not just any customers or clients — but your people. People who love your vibe and are interested in your offering because they feel connected to you. It goes beyond standard marketing — it’s creating a story through sharing your true, authentic self.

Find a Niche (You are not for everyone)

The most success comes from not catering to everyone, but only reaching a specific demographic — your people. This brings in more specificity to your brand and likelihood that people will buy. For example, if you’re a meditation teacher, you will not appeal to everyone. Going deeper, are you targeting people who work 9 to 5’s that need to de-stress? Are you targeting corporate businesses to hire you? Are you targeting millennials who are new to meditation? These are all very different audience groups, so it’s important you get super clear on what it is you’re offering and for whom. This will help you craft more specific messages so that you are directly talking to the people you’re trying to reach, like you would a friend. The language, imagery and marketing needs to reach only your group. You don’t want to attract everyone — you want to attract people you’re specifically trying to help

Create Magnetism Through Your Photos

Photography is one of the most powerful ways to capture the hearts of people you’re trying to reach. Most likely, you’re reaching people like you, or you’ve been in their shoes before, or you share a same lifestyle interest. If you’re creating all-natural products for example, think about the lifestyle of people who are drawn to well-made, sustainable and natural products: what would they be doing, or what would they feel connected to? Maybe it’s taking a bath, going for a hike, or showcasing behind-the-scenes candle making. Because you are reaching a certain demographic, you will make a lasting impression when you leave a “connection point” of like-mindedness and expressing how someone might feel when they buy from you. The best way to do this is by hiring a personal brand photographer who is creative and can collaborate with you to capture your own authentic life and how your products and services can impact people in a big way. Authenticity and realness create magnetism — what makes you unique and how can you express your true self and gifts out into the world?

This includes showcasing your personality and what you love doing. People don’t just fall in love with products & services, they fall in love with the people behind them and that’s what personal brand photography is all about.
